Collective Bargaining Veto & Us

I'm bringing this to this specific Reddit as a teacher. I think collective bargaining is the last thing that the union may be able to do to fight for funding.
For those who haven't followed - it is BAD. Highschools are looking at classes of 35 kids. Activity buses and after school programs are on the chopping block. Just from what I've seen Adaptive (High needs special education students) classes went from being able to have a field trip a month to... maybe two this year. These are just the ones I'm aware of.
Anyway if you're up to it call her office or send an email. I'm planning to do both because I'm pretty pissed.
Editing to add: No I don't think we should raise taxes. The budget is bullshit. They could find more for the school if they wanted to. Hell they literally took money the school had saved up for projects AWAY.
Also adding that it's not just that a third party would need to mediate. I honestly don't care about that part. But without permission the unions can't strike. You think public workers who decide to strike should be charged and arrested? That's where we stand now. The city could press charges if we refuse to work. Respectfully, don't be a bootlicker. No one should be able to make me work when I don't want to. Wouldn't even need a picket line because nobody is rushing in to teach these days. I've been out sick a bit there's year. Times I had a sub? Zero. Which means those ALREADY huge class sizes will balloon at random times because those kids get shuffled into different rooms.
Imagine giving a presentation at work to 35 coworkers on how to follow a new procedure. You have to keep them engaged for at least an hour. Now make them all children. It's already an impossible task with adults.
If its obvious you haven't even looked at the budget or followed what's going on with the schools. I'm gonna just not engage with you because you're obviously just parroting what you've heard somewhere. The amount of money the city has "lost" is insane. You should be mad about that and not over other working class people trying to get more money to get by or better working conditions.
You'll note I'm also not talking on the other unions because I have no idea what they're up to. But just to remind you who they are.. it's probably postal workers, cops, mental health professionals like over at Blue Ridge, etc. All of these workers also need improvements to their working conditions.
