I’ve been an engineer in tech for close to a decade. Given the current state of affairs does it make sense to go back to school?
I’ve been in tech as an engineer with a breath of experience for close to a decade now and I have been considering going back to school because I’m uncertain as to my outlook over the next 5-10 years. I am in my mid 30s and genuinely feel that given all the layoffs a similar fate for just about everyone is on the horizon with an exception of a few, so my question is 1) how to be part of the few and 2) what is a way to safeguard from a grim outcome and 3) if a pivot then what is the appropriate subject matter to pivot into / go back to school for.
Open to clarifying questions if needed
