im planning my character to be a daughter in the royal family, who goes rogue and starts a new life in the wilderness. i was planning on giving them some traditional looking royal outfit inspired by the real irish folk clothing, but there's a small problem. the characters current outfit is supposed to be made of the scraps of their earlier outfit that they tore down, but is it going to read as inherently disrespectful? i know traditional clothes have certain rules to them, and they should be treated with respect, but the point is that the character hated the whole royal system and protested against it. still, is it disrespectful to have their outfit be made of torn down traditional clothes?? thank you in advance!!
