if I choose a subject that has a quotas, will I be able to hear back before the timetable preference timing closes?

can anyone that has done this subject give feedback on how easy/hard the subject was. It seems like an interesting subject but my other subjects are quite dense, so idk how worthwhile it is to do this subject
