Advice after damage
Hi all, I’ve commented on this sub before but have never made my own post. Didn’t think the day would come.
I’m a 5 star sitter with 60+ reviews and great experience. Idk if that matters. I picked up a high value sit this weekend (Friday-Sunday, 3x visits per day, 1 hour each). A frenchie and a bulldog. They’re very spoiled and untrained. But I didn’t think it would be this bad.
My thighs are covered in bruises from them jumping on me, if I so much as look at them. I can’t even pet them without them excitedly jumping. And tonight, before I was able to even put my bag down, one of them jumped up and ripped a hole in my shirt.
The owners seem like very nice people. They seem wealthy and like they “knew” their dogs would be a handful, yet I was not prepared for how the weekend has gone.
I want to tell them in the nicest way possible, but I’m really not sure how. I don’t want compensation or anything, I just want the owners to be aware that this is happening so they can properly prepare the next sitter (I will not be returning after this job is done).
I’ve seen people give great advice on other posts here. If you need any more info let me know. Thank you so much. I’ll post a pic of my shirt, but you’ll have to imagine the bruising because I don’t want to post photos of my thighs on reddit 😂
