Hi everyone,

I’m applying to Hematology/Oncology this cycle (first time) and would really appreciate some honest input on my signaling strategy. I’ve tried to be thoughtful about this, but I know this process can be unpredictable.

Background:

-IMG, US residency completed (community program)

-Step scores: 24X/ 24X/ 21X

-Board certified in IM

~3 years hospitalist experience at a regional hospital

-green card

-10 first-author heme/onc journal papers (IF ranges from 2 to 9)

-15 first author abstracts/posters (2 posters at ASCO, 3 publication only abstract at ASH, etc.)

Letters: 2 oncologists + 1 IM PD

I don’t come from a big-name academic residency, so I’m trying to be realistic about where I apply.

Thanks!
