I am currently waiting for a job contract from Optus to come in. It is for a retail/ sales consultant role. The talent acquisition partner I was talking to throughout the whole process stated it should have been done by yesterday, but I have received nothing. They said they were drafting it, but I'm not sure if it usually takes this long. I want to message him, however its around 8 pm, so I'm not sure if it's professional. And the thing is that he stated that on the contract it would begin on the 5th of May, so I'm not too sure what's going on.

anyone got an idea on what to do next, or I should I just wait for it?

I am currently in the background check stage for Optus, and around 4 days ago, I handed in my application. All my other checks are done and have come back well; it is just my references that I am waiting for. It still says in progress. This background check is done through CVChecks. I assume this means my references have not responded to the questionnaire yet. I understand that they might be busy, but I'm worried this will impact my chances. Should I send them an email/message regarding completing the references, or should I wait?
