Thoughts on the budget?

I’m in favour of the budget since it means Plaid can get a move on manifesto commitments. As for reserves that are meant for emergencies being used, I would argue this is an emergency since we’re going through Wales’ worst ever heatwave that is killing a lot of people like a flood would.

I worry if this budget can be passed however since Labour, tories and reform all said no.

Why didn’t someone think of Gold?

One of gold’s properties is it is anti fungal in nanoparticules and it’s reasonable to assume most of the factions probably have the resources to mass produce and disperse gold nanoparticles. So why didn’t anyone try to get rid of Cordyceps or at least weaken it by using gold?

What is the biggest problem facing Wales?

I think there are two overarching issues facing us.
The first is an aging population that sucks up NHS resources and increases housing prices as many own second homes that aren’t used. The second (which is talked about much less) is Climate change. Wales would be crippled by sea level rises as it would make floods in the cities much more common which would be devastating. Lockdown showed us that if we take huge actions then we can significantly slow down global warming. The summers get hotter while winters get colder and the weather continues becoming more extreme with more heatwaves and floods. I have a few possible solutions to these problems, I think the WG should compulsorily acquire the second homes and raise taxes on people with an income of £1,000,000 or more to something like 70-80%. We should also introduce a wealth tax (since the ultra rich don’t make money from salaries, they make money from assets) and an LVT to ensure that housing prices are kept fair. Obviously old, rich people (who tend to vote more) won’t be happy with this and would vote against it so I think that we should have universal resident voting rights and compulsory voting for 16+ since I think government should represent everyone, not just the people who voted for them. As for climate change, using the income generated from previous mentioned tax hikes and the fact that Wales is one of the best countries in the world to make renewable energy makes electricity production as not only a source of income through selling to other countries, decrease energy bills and reduce pollution significantly. Since we’re at the edge of the Atlantic, we should focus on wind and tidal energy with a bit of Thorium SMR every here and there. The selling energy part would work even better if Wales became independent because then England would have to pay for their Welsh energy which they currently get for free.

Has anyone noticed this?

I noticed today that every single new MS has a Wikipedia article, no matter if it’s the third seat of Caerdydd Penarth or some random MS, they’ve got a Wikipedia article.
