Built a Trust Verification System for NGX
Over the weekend, I saw a video advising retail investors who would want to buy any NGX stock; to do a bit of research by checking out the NGX X-data portal.
The purpose of which is to find out the compliance status of the company. Failure to do so can result in situations of purchasing stocks from companies about to be delisted or currently restructuring.
The NGX portal search or going through X-compliance document is a hassle on it's own so I just had a little landing page generated and used n8n to run dynamic searches for any ticker inputed in the search.
Right now doesn't show prices, that can be dealt with later, just tells users the csi code abbreviation and their plain English meaning.
By the way, these are the csi codes:
●BLS – Below Listing Standard ●MRF – Missed Regulatory Filing ●DWL – Delisting Watch-list ●DIP – Delisting in Progress ●AWR – Awaiting Regulatory Approval ●RST – Restructuring BMF / BAA / BRS / MRS / BMR – Combo of the above (usually serious compliance issues) These codes reflect regulatory, structural, or compliance issues with listed companies on the NGX. ●BAA – Below Listing Standard and Awaiting regulatory approval ●BMF – Below Listing Standard and Missed regulatory filing ●BRS – Below Listing Standard and Restructuring ●MRS – Missed Regulatory filing and Restructuring ●BMR – Below listing standard, Missed regulatory filing, and Restructuring. Honestly not sure if this is a viable business idea, just used loveable to put this together and for now n8n is my execution layer.
