I’m a trabalhador independente in Portugal and I’m looking for a contabilista certificado to handle my VAT (IVA) returns and IRS filing.

A few questions before I decide:

• What are the monthly fees for a freelancer setup like this?
• Are the services 100% online (Zoom/email, document upload, etc.)?
• How smooth has the process been (simple freelancer, no employees)?
• Any hidden costs I should be aware of (annual closing, extra declarations, etc.)?

I’m trying to keep things clean and fully compliant, but also not overpay for a super complex service I don’t need. If you’re an accountant or have worked with one you trust, feel free to share recommendations and real experiences too.
