what is the one glute exercise you refuse to do in order to grow your glutes?

out of all the glute exercises out there, which one (or two) just doesn’t work for you, no matter how many times you’ve tried to make it click?

for me, it’s step ups. i’ve given it plenty of chances but they’ve never just felt right. i've always just preferred bulgarian split squats specifically on the smith machine. ever since switching to the smith machine to do bulgarians, its been such a game changer. it really allows me to focus on pushing through my working leg and i dont have to worry about balance or grip strength.

my tried & true exercises will always be hip thrusts, rdls, bulgarians, kickbacks and abductions.

curious to hear which exercises everyone else has written off.

i feel stupid that i had no idea libraries were closed on sundays lol i left the house to get away from the chaos that is my house just for some peace and quiet, sit down and do some work. cycled to the library just to find out it was closed and came back home again. anywhere else i can go? i dont want to sit in a cafe either. just somewhere quiet.
