I'm a creative who wants to start pursuing creativity as a serious career. I'm in college, about to be a senior, and the place I go to college (Louisiana) does not have a lot of opportunities for itself when it comes to the arts. I want to do everything, but I'm starting in art direction, and I also have my own art business on the side.

For the summer, I want to expand my skillset, connect with other like-minded, expressive creatives, get my artwork out there, and learn some valuable information about the creative career space and art direction. I also want to get away from Louisiana for a week to start exposing myself to more opportunities. What's a good city for that? Does New York City have any events going on?
