People only hate reps when the watch doesn’t match your lifestyle.
I actually love APs like this — rose gold, leather strap, lowkey but classy. But realistically, people around me know I’m probably not spending 40-50k on a watch.
What’s interesting is that some watches feel easier to pull off than others. A full gold Daytona or iced-out Rolex feels like you’re trying too hard to look rich, while a leather strap AP almost gives off more of a “watch guy” vibe instead of a flex vibe.
Maybe it’s because leather strap pieces feel quieter. Less “look at me,” more personal taste.
I’ve noticed people judge reps way harder when the watch completely clashes with your lifestyle. Nobody questions a subtle Datejust the same way they question a full gold Daytona on someone driving a 10-year-old Honda.
So I’m curious — do you guys actually think about lifestyle matching when buying reps, or do you genuinely not care what other people assume?
