I'm a sikh living in dehradun since childhood and i was born here and I want to say something about the recent dispute in karanprayag

I believe that it had been tragic for the pahadis present there to see a person from a different state acting violently in there own state

Ppl from punjab are saying that nihang pilgrims were attacked first but the main thing that they need to understand is that nihangs present there were so rude to the locals and started abusing ppl there which is not at all acceptable here and it would absolutely result in a conflict

It is not new that ppl from hr dl pb ch haven't done things here and taking out there talwars in the name of self defense is not at all right

BUT I ALSO WANT TO SAY THAT defaming the whole community for that is ALSO NOT RIGHT saying that kirpans should be banned IS NOT RIGHT there are only some illiterate uneducated ppl from these states who do these kind of things otherwise Sikhs are great ppl (i am not bragging abou them)

See kirpans are a bakshish from our 10th guru and we keep that and we should respect that it is because of these ppl the whole community is facing hatred

If those nihangs would have acted nicely , lowered there ego and ket there calm the things would not have been escalated

It could have been just a normal conflict b/w some ppl but due to these actions it led out to be much bigger

AND IN THE END for ppl from pb hr dl ch it is not your state that you can do anything here when ppl from Uttarakhand come to your state we behave properly according to the rules so you should also respect that
