BG Shenanigans
So my girlfriend, despite all my warnings, listened to her sister, and got involved in BG. I told her as soon as her sister presented the numbers and the oddly triangular structure, that it was a ponzi scheme. The worst part of it is that I am an investor, and I taught her how to invest, and told her to steer clear of crypto altogether since it is an unregulated wild west, but I guess the 7-10% annual gains that she sees in her brokerage account were just too meager considering BG was promising those returns in 3-4 days. Anyways, the 12% tax thing happened and I told her that it was the writing on the wall, and somehow convinced her to not pay it. I've been in their bonchat and whatsapp groups on her phone basically eavesdropping to see what the latest grift is, which is now saying that the relationship between BG and DSJEX is no longer working out, so they are migrating to HQIEX (Acting like DSJEX is a partner they're cutting ties with and not just their most successful grift so far ), and you can join them for a low account transfer fee of $100. Here's the best part, you will not be able to make any withdrawals for some time because apparently HQIEX needs "trading volume", and mass withdrawals would disrupt that. One particularly dangerous trend I noticed is that in the whatsapp group for my local area, they seem to have an inside man, someone that works directly with them, who they give the ability to make withdrawals of close to the full amount of the account balance, and send screen recordings of them doing so, in an attempt to show that it works. In my girlfriend's case, she's a regular person from the church who is just another "investor", but has been the only one documented to have seamlessly withdrawn after paying the 12%. She sends daily voice notes encouraging people to "keep the faith" and to trust in the professor and Elena because they haven't failed her so they wont fail anyone else. Genuinely appalling stuff.
