BC PNP ITA received but employer is staffing company.
Received an ITA under BC PNP Express Entry BC - Skilled Worker and trying to understand the risk before submitting the application.
My situation:
Working in BC since 2024
NOC 21231
Full-time T4 employee
Employer is a staffing and recruitment company based in BC
Assigned continuously to the same large public-sector client in BC since 2024
Contract has been renewed multiple times and currently extended until 2027
Work is ongoing operational work and not seasonal
BC PNP invitation was received based on wage/NOC criteria
However, while preparing documents, I noticed the BC PNP guide says placement agencies/staffing firms are not eligible to support BC PNP applications and come under ineligible employers.
My employer may still provide the required documents if requested.
At the same time, a direct permanent full-time offer from the end client is currently in process, but it may take a few months and cannot realistically be expedited further. Meanwhile, I have a BC PNP application deadline approaching soon.
Main questions:
Has anyone here successfully applied through a staffing employer situation similar to this?
Does BC PNP automatically refuse these cases because of the placement agency clause, or are they assessed case by case?
Would continuous renewals with the same client strengthen the case?
If I submit the application honestly with all supporting documents, what is the practical downside?
Trying to make the most practical decision before the deadline.
