Persistent Graphics Acceleration & Black Screen Issues | i3-10105 | Asus H410M-E | macOS Sequoia

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out because I’ve been struggling with this Hackintosh project for nearly two years, and I’ve finally hit a wall. While I can consistently reach the desktop on a clean install, the system is currently unusable for daily tasks.

I am facing two primary hurdles:

  1. Lack of Graphics Acceleration: My UHD 630 iGPU is recognised, but it lacks hardware acceleration. I am stuck with only 7MB of VRAM, which makes the UI extremely laggy and sluggish.
  2. Configuration Failures: Whenever I attempt to modify my config.plist To fix the framebuffer—often relying on AI-generated suggestions for the patches—the system fails to boot entirely, resulting in a persistent black screen.

My ultimate goal is to get this build stable and fully accelerated on macOS Sequoia. I’ve spent a significant amount of time troubleshooting, but I can’t seem to find the correct combination of ig-platform-id and BusID patches for this specific ASUS motherboard.

Any guidance or specific EFI pointers from the community to help me finally stabilise this build would be incredibly appreciated!

Hardware Specs:

  • CPU: Intel Core i3-10105 (Comet Lake)
  • iGPU: Intel UHD Graphics 630
  • Motherboard: ASUS Prime H410M-E
  • Bootloader: OpenCore
