I’ve been stuck trying to remember this movie for ages and it’s driving me nuts. Hoping someone here can help!
What I remember:
• The title has “Africa” in it (or it’s very strongly Africa-themed)
• A famous male actor (I first thought Johnny Depp or Leonardo DiCaprio, but it might be Robert Redford or someone similar) plays a significant role
• At the very end of the movie, his character is lying on the ground (injured, dying, or resting dramatically) and says something like “hello to Africa” or “goodbye to Africa” (or a similar line addressing the continent/land)
It’s most likely a drama, romance, or adventure film — definitely not comedy or horror. Probably from the 1980s–2000s, but not certain.
