How important is 1.8mm thickness?
I am having a custom ring made. The original quote (which I already paid) was for 1.5mm thickness. The rep told me it would be $80 more for 1.8. I know 2mm width and 1.8mm thickness are the general guidance for durability and longevity. I tend to be rough on my hands and jewelry so I am trying to be smart, but I’m wondering if the band is a bit wider (here I’ve got 2.3), how much does it matter? Totally open to being influenced or deinfluenced!
