17 m/o eating regression

My newly 17 m/o developed an eating regression. He use to eat everything we gave him. Now, he only wants to eat a handful of select snacks such as goldfish, cheese, fruit snack bars, bananas, applesauce, & anything sweet. When we try to give him anything else, he cries a bunch and refuses to eat. This regression started about a week before he turned 17m. How do I go about this? Any tips on how to break him out of this?

My toddler (almost 17m/o) had an assessment done earlier today due to his lack of words. Autism was ruled out, but they said he is very speech delayed and also delayed on playing with toys properly. He did try stacking the cups and blocks, played catch with the ball, pretend feed the baby dolls and etc, but he kept constantly trying to put the toys in his mouth.
The lady doing the assessment said they will definitely help work on getting him on track with the play and speech, but what are some things I can do at home to get my child to stop putting items in his mouth? He not only puts toys in his mouth, but also just anything he can, such as blankets, plushies, shoes, lint, and even tries to grab hold of phones and remotes to do that with too

I have been stuck between weighing 169-173lb the past few weeks. My starting weight was 225lb after having my baby, and have been on a diet with a calorie deficit of 1300-1500 for the past 6months, while also coordinating weights and cardio 4-5 days a week. I had my little cheat treats here and there throughout tht time span and it never seemed to disrupt my progress. Even though I have noticed the plateau, I have been continuing to stay in the same gym routine, diet, and deficit, hoping it would start dropping my weight again.

Is there anything different I could try to help break this plateau? I saw somebody say they ate high carbs for a few days and noticed the plateau broke afterwards and got them back on track. I’m wondering if I should give it a shot, but I wanna see if anyone else has a better approach :)
