Transit Tracking Application Advice
Hi all, my friends and I have been working on this app and we wanted some feedback on potential ideas and improvements.
Here is the basic premise of the app:
We want to create a modern, “live-time” tracking app for the Seattle metro system, the light rail system is our first stage of this implementation, future stages will include buses and potentially ferries.We understand that there are already systems in place for a lot of this, but in my opinion, everything I have tried feels outdated, or even hard to find (besides ferry friend, great app!). Having everything in one app will help simplify your journey from point a to point b, no matter what type of transportation you take.
In the attached video shows our current stage with the light rail system and the tracking, soon we hope to add favorited routes, filters, and notifications for user set stops at certain times.
Things we need to improve on currently:
- Better graphics for the light rails
- Crowding data
- Stop time prediction
We hope to have beta testers soon to test out the light rail implementation, if you would like to be a tester, dm me, or say something in this thread!Your feedback is important to us and we really hope to make this app a reality to serve the Seattle Metro system!
