Would You Buy a 2018 Tundra 1794 With a Head Gasket Replacement at 15k Miles?
I’ve been looking at a 2018 Toyota Tundra CrewMax 4x4 1794 Edition with 118k miles listed for $31k. The truck itself looks fantastic inside and out, and it has regular maintenance records throughout its life.
The only thing that concerns me is the CarFax showing a head gasket replacement done by a Toyota dealership at only 15k miles. After that, there don’t seem to be any major issues reported, and the previous owner continued servicing it regularly before trading it in this year.
From what I understand, the 5.7 Tundras are generally very reliable long term, but a major repair that early makes me hesitant.
Would you guys still consider this truck worth buying, or is the early head gasket repair enough reason to walk away?
