So insurance submitted my case to an IME(?) and the IME deemed treatment medically necessary which is cool, but do I move forward with the treatment? Surgery scheduler called me up and said be on standby for surgery once we get a donor. Great news!

My lawyer says just because the IME reviewed my case and deemed the treatment medically necessary doesn't mean insurance will agree and approve it so DON'T move forward with the surgery. Not great news!

This might be state by state but can my fellow injured workers confirm if this is this really true? Bro isn't reliable and has given me reasons not to trust what he says which is why I'm asking here.

In the mean time I'll try the dept of workers comp, but you can only get so far with those people. Once they find out you have representation they just redirect you to your representation.

We're basically looking at a failed DTA, a dislocated shoulder (image 1), and an unimaginable amount of boneloss on the posterior side of my glenoid.

I came here to ask if anyone has had an Osteochondral Allograft (OCA) of the shoulder and how you're holding up? More importantly, how is the allograft holding up? Case studies aren't reliable since the surgery isn't incredibly common, so I'm hoping at least ONE person here has had this surgery and can share their experience with me.

I can't seem to get an inbox set up so people can leave me voicemails on the default phone app. Is there a different phone app + voicemail considered to be the "go to" for situations like this? I tried Google Dialer and experienced the same issue. Any help is appreciated.
