These are two Nepenthes Ive had living over a year indoors in the desert. It's not easy cultivating these things here but I plan to get a special terrarium just for my sibuyanensis that is on the right. It refuses to throw cups and I think that it because of the humidity here, its really hard getting the humidity up at all if its not in a terrarium (even my terrariums though i be spraying 3 times daily).
My Nepenthes cecilae on the other hand, also from the Philippines, does not mind at all and has 2 cups and is forming another one down low. I dont know if mine is a fluke but it is doing just fine in the dry indoors. I should do things like water with RO and stuff like that but so far, my cecilae is telling me things are aye okay. Maybe it likes it drier? I plan to keep caring for this as I have been, and the cups have lasted longer than I expected. Its been a couple months now.
How should I display the sibuyanensis? Is it an epiphyte? Should i plant it directly into a deep substrate? Or should I keep it in its pot in the terrarium. Thanks for any tips
