"F*ck This!"
There's an amazing amount of positive inspiration ✨️ on this sub. Helped me get off the fence after about a year of peering over said fence. This is not one of those inspiring posts.
I'm curious about that moment when YOU said "F*ck this!", and decided to take that first step and get on Zep.
For me, I'd been lifting weights, playing basketball for years, and had slowly been gaining back the 70lbs I'd initially lost doing the work. Lose 20lbs, get injured or consumed with work, family, relationships.... and then slowly gain.... with all the mental stuff that comes with it. I'd been diagnosed with a Baker's cyst in my knee from going too hard on the spin bike, and was suffering from a lack of "fun cardio" I could do.
One morning I saw a pregnant woman out jogging. AND SHE WAS KILLIN IT. Warm weather, had to be at least 5-6 months along, and she would've smoked me - a man in his early 40s who considers himself "very strong". I was stuck in traffic so could tell her pace was furious. This is not a dig at women even in the slightest - I'm not sure "creating a life/giving birth" can be topped by any sort of power lift in the grand scheme of amazing feats.
But she was basically jogging, carrying 2 people, and I couldn't even run at all without my knee flaring up.
"F*ck This!!!" Instantly stopped worrying about side effects, the money, the social stigma. Gimme my damn Zep already!
I'm on month 4, down about 20lbs on 5mg. Knee is doing much better! She'll probably still smoke me, though 🏃🏼♀️😅
EDIT: Thank you for your responses! Some of you make my gripes look like baby tears. I actually AM a bit more inspired to read about people at their "lowest lows" steel their resolve and are now headed towards their ultimate goals ⛰️.
Too much gush! 🤢🤢🤮☺️🤡
