The Ordeal, a Herman's Head inspired game

The Ordeal, a Herman's Head inspired game

Hey everybody! A while back I posted some early thoughts on a game inspired by the old sitcom Herman's Head.

The basic premise of that show is that there's a group of "people" who are collectively Herman's personality.

Well...I kept working on that concept and ended up with: The Ordeal.

Ever have one of those days? When nothing seems to go your way? Or maybe it does, and that's the real problem. Either way, it always ends the same. Badly.

My stuff is free, but isn't terribly polished layout-wise. I hope you enjoy it :)

p.s. First time posting a Promotion. Did I do it right?

Edit: fixed formatting.

Hey everyone! I been recently re-reading FU 2 and got thinking about how its dice pool uses + and - dice.

What if you didn't differentiate the between dice and simply removed any matching pairs?

Something like:

  1. Assemble a pool of d6's from relevant tags.

  2. Roll, then remove any pairs of matching dice.

  3. Take the highest of the remaining dice.

Example:

You roll 5d6: 3, 4, 5, 5, 5.

One pair of 5's is removed, leaving 3, 4, 5.

Taking the highest gives 5.

Anyone try something like this?

I'm not really sure how to determine the probabilities, so any insight would be greatly appreciated :)
