i live in an apartment with no ac, and with the summers getting hotter, i'll probably need to flee to the nearby forest for shade. i just have no idea what i should do once i get there.

i know an area in the forest with some park benches, but no tables. and i'm not planning to carry a folding table all the way there.

basically i need a hobby that can fit in a backpack, and doesn't need a table, and can keep me busy for a summer worth of afternoons.

EDIT: thanks for all the suggestions, i have some good ideas. Feel free to keep them coming though, more ideas never hurt.
