I hope I don't get downvoted too much but this has got to be my favorite episode of SG-1! Every single Easter egg is phenomenal!!

"Did I mention I'm on mission from God?" (Blues Brothers)

"Guess we're not getting the band back together." (also Blues Brothers)

"I know we haven't met. I'm sure I would've remembered." (Vala about Mitchell referencing Farscape)

"I know nothing about your fair planet, except that it has an interesting but somewhat limited genepool." (Michael and Ben both being tall, brown-haired, (maybe blue-eyed), and the reaction of fans for why'd they bring Ben on, and reaction of producers to ask Michael to grow a beard, as if that would help us tell them apart. 🙄)

And the comedy gold!

Vala weaving her arm in Mitchell's after Daniel says Sam can't make it. "Try playing hard to get." "Look who's talking."

Vala's megawatt smiles! 😁😁😁 It seems so obvious that she's happy to see Daniel again. *sigh* I love her so much.

"How could you not KNOW?!" "Because the person I stole them from didn't tell me THAT PART!"

Pillow throwing and Teal'c giving Daniel a look that says something like, where is your composure, my dude?

And then Daniel fake whispering to Teal'c, "So, when I kill her, I die, too?" (Oh, Daniel, stop denying your love for her. 😉)

Amanda Tapping did some very excellent acting in season 8. From regular Sam, to Replicarter in Reckoning and geek Samantha in Moebius. I thought her alternate geek personality in Moebius was so much better than Michael's ultra-geek Daniel. 🤓

It occurs to me that if they hadn't brought Vala back in Season 9, Prometheus Unbound could have just been a weird fantasy / fever dream of Daniel's.

Rescue mission to Atlantis: ✅

Hammond overrules Jack and lets him go: ✅

Distress signal from a damsel: ✅

Damsel turns out to be a space pirate: (well, even his dreams need to mirror his reality a little, lol 😆

Space pirate is an attractive woman who used to be a goa'uld: (look, he has a type) 🤣

Gets beat up (naturally) but also gets to kiss beautiful space pirate WITHOUT ANYONE ELSE ON BOARD! Deny, deny, deny. 😆

Other evidence that this is a dream: why his Colonel Pendergrast relinquishing his ship to Hammond? How does Walter Harriman know anything about flying it? Why does Jack let one of his best backup teams go (SG-3 and Colonel Reynolds)? I'm telling you, if not for Season 9, this episode is all in Daniel's head. 🤣🤣🤣

Now, all that said, I ADORE Vala, Season 9 & 10, Cameron, and Daniel/Vala is my OTP, so don't flame me on my first post here. I'm just saying this is a strange standalone episode but I'm so thankful they brought Claudia Black back. ❤❤❤ Love her!
