Experience at Wink Plastic Surgery— non incisional DES with ptosis correction and epicanthoplasty
Had the most amazing experience at Wink! I wanted to share my experience with the clinic because I remember frantically checking reviews and before and after pictures to help me pick which clinic to go to lol
I originally was very nervous about getting double eyelid surgery as I had never gotten any cosmetic procedure done before, and wanted to look very natural. I have had monolids my entire life and my eyes were also uneven, with my right eye being slightly smaller than my left eye. I also had to constantly raise my eyebrows to open my eyes and look awake, and it was causing tension headaches.
Pre-op:
After consulting with Dr. Kim, he recommended a non incisional double eyelid surgery with ptosis correction and an epicanthoplasty. He explained the function and process of performing each part and how it would correct my specific problems. He also listened to all my concerns and was very honest without being pushy or trying to upsell me on other unnecessary procedures (which other clinics definitely did). He explained to me that the ptosis correction would strengthen my eyelid muscles so I wouldn’t have to use my eyebrows to open my eyes, and the epicanthoplasty would help make my eyes more symmetrical and help the double eyelid look more natural.
Post-op:
After getting out of surgery, the staff was very helpful providing all the instructions and prescriptions for my recovery. I came in twice after the surgery to do light therapy for the swelling/ bruising and also to get my stitches removed. Overall, I am super happy with my result and it is exactly what I wanted— a super natural and bright result!! My eyes already appear a lot more symmetrical although I have more swelling on my left eye, and I feel alot more confident in my eyes! Here is my before, after 3 days, and on day 6 when I got my stitches removed!!
