i had a client today that had a good amount of waxy feeling build up on her hair. it even had a specific smell to it. i suppose almost mildew/moldy/wet/oily smelling, but not soo pungent. i did two shampoos with malibu undo. but even still when i started roller brushing, her hair blew these fine white flakes evvvverywhere. i mean it got all over her cape, my dress, the floor, my face, my eyes, and worst of all i breathed this stuff in. now my nose is all stuffy😭.

does anyone know what this possibly could be and how to fix/prevent this? and will my nose be okay because it for surely feels icky?
