I’m so tired of the false hope that four months free from a flare up brings. I started back in the gym, had energy in work, got promoted, and signed up a for a mini triathlon in June.

One car journey in Mid April I gently mentioned to my wife that maybe, just maybe, the Skyrizi had started working 18 months after I started infusions. Two weeks later I started feeling fatigued, headaches came back, and the usual digestive issues started all over again. More joint and body pain, malaise, and zero energy. Haven’t been able to work out in weeks and the triathlon goal feels foolish.

Sometimes the good times make the bad times even worse because they give you a glimpse of another life beyond your control, and that really fucking sucks.
