I was just getting annoyed when reading a fic where a character uses chloroform and it always annoys me when it’s not realistic enough. Like chloroform doesn’t knock a person out like they do in cartoons! It takes up to six minutes to take full affect! What other inconsistencies annoy you that regularly occur in fics?
I’m thinking of finally starting to write my own fanfics cause I have so many ideas of stories. Just wondering what tips or tricks you guys have when it comes to planning stories out. Like I know what I want eventually to happen I just struggle with the inbetween bit I think probably cause it’s not the exciting bit I want to get to. I know some people do just wing it but I want a set plan in my head.

Hey I’ve been trying to move into AO3 properly for my fics as I’m running out of good options now and ngl I’ve been pretending to my friend who always reads on there that I know what I’m doing. I know there’s filters but it still doesn’t seem to work for me or if it does they’re oneshots which I don’t want. I want a full length fic to binge read. What’s the best way to get this? Also for context I’m looking for Sebastian Stan character fics (not just Bucky)so I feel this shouldn’t be too niche. Please don’t shame me for not knowing I really struggle adjusting to things with my autism
EDIT TO POST: Just to add to save any confusion, yes I’m fully aware I could just ask my friend but honestly I would much rather ask a bunch of strangers who don’t know me so then I don’t have to face the judgement of not knowing irl. This post itself is scary for me so excuse if I miss any points I’m simply looking for advice.
