Hiby R3ii (2025) volume knob not functioning as on/off switch
I received a Hiby R3ii (2025) in early March of this year and really enjoyed it. I had been using a FiiO M7 since 2017, so it was nice to have something a little more current. However, it developed a problem a couple of weeks ago that makes it nearly unusable: the volume knob doesn’t turn the unit on or off when pressed. It still controls the volume, so it is not totally broken. I’ve tried resetting and various other troubleshooting methods, to no avail. The only way I can use it is to plug it into a power source to get the screen to appear and then turn off all the sleep/power down settings, but obviously this isn’t ideal. The Amazon return window is closed, so I really have no options. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is there a fix? Meanwhile, I purchased a TempoTec Variations V1 that is far, far better than I expected it to be. It’s amazing, except for the ultra small screen.
