2002 Robin Yount Upper Deck SP Legendary Cuts card
I found this in my husbands baseball card collection today. (I e been trying to switch from the old shoe box (that he’s had them thrown in since the 90’s) to a new baseball card binder. Anyway, I was just wondering if it was TRULY a 1 of 1 and if so, how much do you guys think it’s really worth?
S This is what ChatGPT says;
This appears to be a 2002 Robin Yount Upper Deck SP Legendary Cuts card, serial-numbered 1/1 (one of one) and slabbed by IKON Grading Service.
A few things heavily affect the value here:
It’s a true 1/1, which is rare and collectible.
Robin Yount is a Hall of Famer with a strong collector base.
However, the card is in an IKON slab, not a major grading company like PSA, BGS, or SGC.
I also don’t see an actual numeric grade on the slab (Gem Mint 10, etc.), which lowers confidence/value for many buyers.
The card itself shows visible surface wear/scratches and the slab is scratched up.
Because it’s a 1/1, there is no exact market comp. Value comes down to what a Robin Yount collector is willing to pay.
My realistic estimate:
Raw/unverified market feel: about $75–$200
If authenticated/reholdered by PSA/SGC and the card grades well: potentially $200–$500+
If it were an autograph 1/1 from this set, it could be much higher — but this one does not appear signed.
The “01/01” label on the slab looks custom-added by IKON rather than factory-issued labeling, so buyers would likely want proof the card itself is truly pack-issued 1/1. The blue foil serial numbering on the card edge is important for that.
For selling, your best bet would probably be:
eBay auction with “1/1 Robin Yount SP Legendary Cuts” in the title
Or consignment through a sports card seller if you want maximum exposure.
You may also want to consider sending it to PSA or SGC for authentication/regrading before selling.
