Hello everyone in the past few weeks I have been been working hard on my cloud chamber and I have reached minus 30 degrees celsius but my cloud chamber isn't working before this I also tried a peltier setup but that didn't work too and did this same thing I'm seeing bubbles instead of trails and tails. Please help😭😭
Hi everyone! I found this piece in a swift store and bought it for 10 Euros my Berthold alpha beta gamma contamination detector with a 144cm² gives out 30cps while background is 7-8cps. My BR-6 Geiger counter gives ~0.25uSv/h while it's background detection is at 0.08uSv/h background. Is this uranium glass? Or just manganese?
In the past couple of weeks, I've been trying really hard to create a functional cloud chamber. But instead, I've got this weird effect of bubbles of isopropyl alcohol forming on the test source I've placed (the circular object), rather than launching into the air and leaving a trail behind... Can anyone explain and help me solve this problem? I've succeeded in reaching the critical temperature, and the same bubbles keep showing up every new test. I've also generated a gGIFif with Gemini to help you visualize the problem.
