I’ve been thinking a lot about how Transformers: Prime could have continued if the Season 2 finale didn’t go the way it did. So I started writing an alternate version that branches right at the end of the darkest hour episode.

Here’s the basic premise:
Right as Team Prime is about to escape through the GroundBridge, new Autobot reinforcements arrive. Jetfire, Ironhide, Jazz, Springer, and even Sentinel Prime show up just in time. The Ark itself comes into play. Instead of Optimus being the one left critically wounded, he uses the Star Saber to destroy the Nemesis while it’s trying to escape. Megatron is the one who gets severely injured this time.

After that, the Autobots don’t stay in the old base. They relocate to a new, much more secure location so the Decepticons can’t just keep finding them. Starscream takes advantage of Megatron’s condition and seizes temporary leadership. Shockwave eventually returns with the Predacon project still ongoing. The war on Earth continues instead of wrapping up cleanly.
I’ve been thinking about adding barricade into the mix. He would arrive on earth and starts hunting residual Autobot signals and anyone connected to them. He ends up targeting Jack, which pulls Sierra into the danger. After a hostage situation and a rescue, Sierra learns the full truth about the Autobots. She doesn’t just go back to normal life — she ends up joining Team Prime as a new human ally. I believe a relationship between her and ironhide would work as an uncle-niece dynamic. She already knows Miko and Raf from school, so the dynamic between the kids shifts in an interesting way once she’s officially in the circle! ^^

This isn’t just a one-off “what if” oneshot. I’m treating it as a full alternate version of the series that keeps going past Season 3, with the Autobots still based on Earth, more Autobots and Decepticons arriving, the Predacon threat evolving, and the human side of the story expanding through Sierra’s involvement.

Curious what people think of this direction. Does the idea of the war continuing with new Autobot arrivals and a character like Sierra actually joining the team sound interesting, or does it feel like it would break the tone of the show too much?
