Cooking app for beginners - would you use this?

hey everyone. I've been learning to cook over the past year or so and have an app idea that I would personally love to use, so I'm wondering if others would find it valuable too.

as a beginner cook, a couple of things have been hard for me:

  • most recipes I find online seem to be written assuming you already know how everything works. it'll say "cook until the chicken is done" or "slice the zucchini" -- and then I'm googling how to know when chicken is done and the right way to slice zucchini
  • if I want to cook multiple things at once, it's hard to get the timing right. if I'm making chicken, pasta, and broccoli, how do I get it all on the table hot at the same time?

so I started building something to solve this. it acts like a personal cooking coach -- you pick what you want to make and it gives you one set of step-by-step instructions that coordinates everything so it all finishes at the same time, plus a clean ingredient list you can export as a grocery list. while you're cooking you can ask questions on the fly, like what to swap if you're out of butter.

still early and would love honest feedback. not looking for compliments -- genuinely want to know if this solves a real problem or if I'm missing something obvious.

happy to share a link or chat with anyone interested!
