What should I prioritize bringing to China? To move and teach. Woman

hello, I’m trying to configure what I should bring with me to move to China to teach this fall. I feel like I did my HW but would like second opinions.

it seems like as a US 8.5-9 womens shoe might be hard to come by so I already bought trusty styles/brands to bring as I see them go on sale; Sperrys , Sam Edelman flats r the best , and my still in good condition items like my heels/boots.

then I still can’t get my pile of jeans down more; I love denim and wear it routinely , I love vintage denim and Levi’s so it’s hard to let go. currently have gotten down to 3 pairs of dark, light, medium, and white ( idk I wear white jeans a lot in fall/winter). insane amount ik but.

point is … anyone have trouble finding jeans in China as a US 4-6? 5”4 but willing to pay for tailoring if I do find them there. but I’m kinda stuck on what to do. 20lbs of denim is kinda insane but not if I won’t find good jeans there. plus they r $$.

bras. I’m a 32c. I bought some of my faves as they went to clearance; not issue cux they weight so little to bring but curious if others find that size.

underwear ? haven’t bought any yet, always see men Vloggers who live in china complain about their underwear so .. lol idk ?

as far as work clothes I have a solid capsule wardrobe that is new and will bring. Basically 2-3x for summer vs winter ; skirt, pants, dresses, blouses, turtle necks, and love my cashmere sweaters. * ps I bought 2x loafers for work to bring

Any thoughts? Am I missing something ? I don’t really have a comfort food to try to bring; too much stuff that way. besides Cajun seasoning lol.

also I’m thinking that I want to stick to 2 checked bags and a carry on ( well carry on at 15lbs is so limited it’s basically tech items and immediate change of clothes etc) ..

What should my pay be for Teaching ESL English in China ?

hello, I have been interviewing with various schools for a few months now ( many wanted me to come earlier than I could) but now I’m getting closer to my “pick one” time in order to have adequate time for my Visa Application etc.

I am asking if the average offer I have gotten makes sense/is reasonable.

most schools are bilingual/ private. not international as I am not a certified teacher.

my experience/ education is such

bachelors of science - Communication Studies minor in marketing

I was a substitute teacher for 1.5 years prior to graduating in 2023

* I had several long term classes and that included a Bilingual VPK class where I was the Co-Teacher

spring of 2023 I taught an ESE class/ learning strategies and supported ESE students in traditional classrooms

summer 23” I taught ELA middle summer school

August to October 24“ 7/8th grade ELA until budget cuts so then I switched to 5th grade ELA

I‘ve always had ESE, ESOL, ELL students in all of my classes. Differentiate lessons, group levels, and additional roles like hosting Book Club, teaching phonics to students from other classes during intervention time, and school activities.

The average offer has been 23k RMB after tax with 2k rmb housing allowance a month.
the cities /offers I am considering right now are in Guangzhou , Wenzhou, and Qingdao. I’ve looked at the housing, 2k seems about right for something small but it’s just me so that’s ok.

Am I being offered a reasonable offer/s? Yes it is /will be my first time teaching abroad. I am from the USA 🇺🇸.

thank you.
