These are my finds from my first time out with my new detector! I found some public land in a local historic town and only had a couple of hours to search, but I’m definitely hooked and will be going back.

I’m especially curious what everyone thinks about the buckle in the bottom left. It looks fairly early to me, and I believe it’s brass. If anyone has an idea of its age or what type of buckle it might be, I’d love to hear it.

I was also pretty stoked to pull a couple of coins—even if they’re only worth a cent! 😂 Not bad for my first outing.

I took a gamble off eBay. The bezel is 14K gold (hopefully😵‍💫) so I should break even if the coin is a reproduction. Thought it could be a possible ship wreck find if authentic but I guess no real way of proving that? Any thoughts? Let me down easy if I’m a dumb dumb 🤸

Hey everyone! Picked this up at a recent estate sale because I thought it was a beautiful knife. I only paid $8 and honestly know nothing about it.

It has what appears to be a hand-engraved signature on the blade, and I’m curious if anyone can identify the maker or translate the writing. I’d also love to know roughly how old it is or if it’s from a particular region or workshop.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
