In Search of '14 day closed' testers for the Tunein Magazine TV Guide for IPTV feeds PRO version - Will Test Your App In Return

Hello. I'm back and need your help again with a 14-day closed test for the PRO (paid for) version of my app, which is a newspaper-style TV Guide for IPTV feeds called 'Tunein Magazine'. (Android Only). The Pro version adds a 5 Day Weather Forecast at the bottom of the page. Of course I will test your app to return the favor!

If you run Tunarr, Jellyfin, TVheadend, HDHomeRun, or any IPTV server that produces an XMLTV feed, Tunein will read your listings directly. Add as many feeds as you like — each becomes its own colour-coded provider in the guide. Even if you don’t, there’s a DEMO which you can use to test it out. Also, the app has a weather bug at the top & 5 Day Forecast at the bottom, as well as ‘Joke of the Day’ and “Did You Know?” featurettes. Enjoy!

The Goods---------------------------

App Name: Tunein Magazine Pro

App Category: TV Guide/Entertainment

Testing Goals: 14 Day Closed Testing

Steps:

  1. Join the Google Grouphttps://groups.google.com/g/tunein-magazine-pro-testing
  2. Opt-In To The Test: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.tunein.app.pro
  3. Link To The App: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tunein.app.pro

If the above play store link doesn't work try this one:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tunein.app.pro&hl=en-US&ah=nMw9qByhskkFNEWfOK69olrrqv0

I don't know what causes that oddity being 'item not found' on some devices (including mine) but it may be related to the link not recognizing the user being logged in.

Important: You must be logged into your Google account to see the "Join Group" button.

DOUBLE Important: Although this is a 'paid for' app, YOU SHOULD NOT BE PAYING TO TEST THIS APP. If it's asking for money, double-check that you joined the testing group with the same user you are trying to access the app with. I have found that if I have more than one user active on my tablet, it could choose another user as the default.

So again, this app should be FREE FOR TESTERS.

If you have ANY issues, please feel free to reach out. (I am learning as I go)

Thanks!

Did Your App Make It To The Playstore?

I'm testing a lot of apps, but I'm not seeing any feedback on whether the apps are actually making it to the store.

If your app is good to go let the world know!

ADD YOUR APP NAME TO YOUR GROUPS!!!!

I am currently testing 40 apps, and I cannot tell you how many groups have ZERO mention of the app being tested. ZERO.

People, no one knows what 'TEST MY APP' means. There are 400000000000 apps on here and no one is going to remember what app is yours. No one.

PUT YOUR APP NAME AND DESCRIPTION ON EVERYTHING AND IN EVERYTHING!

If you don't say what your app is you will not get testers

My fellow creators.

If you need people to test your app you need to make the process as hands off as possible. Sending messages and DMs aren't going to work. You need to create a google group and have people join automatically. Also you NEED TO SAY WHAT YOUR APP IS/DOES! If I have to join a group, install the app before I even know what the app is you are going to have a hard time getting testers.

So remember, set up a google group people can just join without issue, introduce what your app actually is or does and provide all the links in your post.

Just a FYI on getting your app tested

If you want people to test your app at least tell the group what the app is along with the links. We can't see anything until we join the group THEN get to see what the app actually does/is. Not everyone needs a breastfeeding timer app or anime dating...well, someone does, but you know what I mean.

Thank you drive through
