What has the current Government improved?

Just got me thinking with the Stafford by-election today...

Queensland’s “Adult Crime, Adult Time” laws seem popular because people want tougher responses to serious crime. But if a government is also underperforming in areas like public transport, infrastructure, public education, housing, and long-term energy policy, is being “tough on crime” alone really a good tradeoff?

Do people think stronger crime policies outweigh weaker performance in other areas of government? Or is this more about politics and perception than actual long-term outcomes?

Genuinely curious about the current LNP Government performance in Government so far? Have you personally seen improvements in your own life/family, colleagues, friends or community?

What other policies than crime/youth justice or actions do you think they’ve implemented that improved us in Queensland?

Also I believe under the previous Government, crime statistics were still generally trending downward overall.. may be not fast enough so did people feel the response wasn’t strong/fast enough? Was it the perception of crime being amplified by media coverage and political messaging or do you think the concern was fully justified regardless of the stats? Just looking around at all the issues such as the degraded Rail Services, cancellation of Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 4 to GC Airport, cancellation of the Maroochydore heavy rail and replaced by buses, as well as all the other key infrastructure projects not getting prioritised. Only thing I can think of is a brand new shiny stadium at Victoria Park. Is this adequate?
