Very devastating and extremely stressful.
We are navigating the system for 9+ years and when we got just this close to the end, the consular put us on administrative processing (because she just needed some time to review our case as there is a lot going on with the case). This was on Nov 5, 2025 before any pause applies. We couldn't make it out of the administrative process before 1/21/2026 when this pause took place and we were cleared on 3/17/2026 and yet no visa and we have to wait (for who knows how long) till this pause is lifted.
