Urban Company PCB Fraud
Please be aware of some unethical practices by Urban Company technicians.
I live near Tin Factory, Bangalore. Recently, my washing machine stopped draining water and showed a “DE” error, so I booked an Urban Company repair service. The technician claimed both the PCB and drain motor were faulty and quoted around ₹3400 for repairs.
I decided to get a second opinion from a local technician, who checked properly and confirmed that only the drain motor was faulty. He also showed me that the PCB was working fine and supplying current correctly. After replacing just the drain motor, the machine started working perfectly , Paid 1600 to him including part charge and visit charge
Sharing this so others stay careful and take a second opinion before agreeing to expensive repairs. I’ve also heard similar complaints during AC servicing, where customers are often told gas refilling is needed even when it may not actually be required.
