Letter of commitment

Dear all! I had an interview this morning. I think it went well. After we finished the interview the said everything went well and they said to write them a letter of intent by tomorrow afternoon! Does that mean I have the job? I definitely want to accept the offer but what if something better comes along? I have another interview next .

I need a hug 🤗

I have one more interview Monday. I have applied to numerous jobs and interviewed for about five so far. I will go back to working the cash register at my old job if I don’t get this job Monday.
So here is to 2027 school year 😝.
I am still optimistic.
How many jobs until you received an offer?

I am bummed I will probably return to WF

I quit WF only about two months ago because I wanted to get a job in the field I studied in. I was super excited and I wanted to focus on this new career with all my energy! I had to take an exam and I passed and I got my certification! I felt super pumped and qualified!!!* *Fast forward to today, I have applied to over 30 jobs and I have had so far 4 interviews and no offers! I have applied to jobs out of my home state !!!!

I’m really upset I feel like such a loser returning! I am running out of my savings and need a job! Early this year I applied for a TT position and got passed up! Not getting the TT job really gave me motivation to focus on my career aspirations. But I am sooooo stressed!!!

Anyone here experienced this?

One hour interview?

Hi all I have an interview coming up. I noticed the invite says 10-11 am; it’s one hour long ! I am freaking out. Why so long? The job is for ELL teacher and they know I’m a new teacher.
I am just nervous it’s one hour.
How should I prepare?
Any tips and tricks?

Edit: thanks for the advice!!! I appreciate it. I’m feeling better . I just felt so nervous but now calming down. I talk a lot so I will be fine

Applied to several jobs no luck

I have question. I am still working on my teacher license. I am one praxis test away from applying for my license (right now I am studying for the social studies middle school). My only experience teaching is tutoring and obviously my clinical practice. I have applied to charter schools and public schools. I keep getting turned down. Now, I realize it’s because I don’t have my full license yet. Even when I apply as teacher assistant I still get rejected. I am thinking of doing subbing but I need a full time job. How does a full time substitute look like? I came across one full time substitute but they want a teacher license so I didn’t even apply. Any advice?

I am moving to PA.

Second round interview tomorrow

Good afternoon,

I have a second round interview tomorrow. I am shocked I even got a second interview as I don’t think I did very well in the first. Anyway after reading all the negative reviews about this school I’m going to do the interview anyway just to see what they say. I also want to practice my interview skills. What should I expect from the second interview? It is with a principle.

Thank you

Edit: I cancelled the second interview. After doing more reading on this sub about this school I got very stressed. I think I can do better . I am better off subbing. What do you think?

Demo lesson tomorrow

I have a demo lesson tomorrow!
I am extremely nervous. My intuition tells me I will bomb! But I want to do it anyway; to gain experience and confidence. I am not expecting to get the position, not trying to be negative Nancy but my intuition is usually on point lol 😂.
I don’t feel ready despite preparing for a whole week.
It’s 20 min lesson. What should I expect especially at the debriefing part???
Will I know immediately if I got the position, will they reject me after I do the demo lesson?
I have been applying to other places in case this gal through.
Thanks.
