General question around game balance, do you think using sprint mods makes combat easier?

I don't remember the video that I watched, but this guy brought up how sprinting can fuck with game balance with making closing the distance in melee trivial because you can rush the enemy without worrying about tanking too much damage, and being able to sprint away from melee attacks whereas you'd have to block or take the hit without mods.

Not to mention, the most popular sprint mods, to my knowledge, don't count in armor weight for when you are sprinting. Making armor weight penalties negligible at best.

And I think there are a few perks anyways that are supposed to help with travelling faster.

Can someone who understands fighting games explain Dale's skill level objectively? Every troll clip I see he's getting hammered and starts complaining about how easy the game is.
