At what point does expanding to more sales channels stop being a good idea and start becoming operational overhead?

I keep seeing advice like “you need to be on multiple platforms to scale,” but in practice it feels a bit different.

Every new channel adds:

● more inventory syncing complexity

● more edge cases where things don’t match perfectly

● more time spent fixing issues instead of actually improving anything

It doesn’t feel like growth after a certain point… it just feels like more coordination work.

I’m curious how people actually decide when to stop expanding and start simplifying instead.
