Need help with changing my study method

hi, I’m a first year student almost second year. And recently I have been trying to change my studying method across different subject and lay off about my grade to experience with medthods (creating visual mindmap-> trying to connect relationship, studying from practice problems, Feynman technique) and I didn’t really see any improvement in my grade. I still feel extremely unprepared and doing pretty bad in the exam.

Just a few day ago I have a calculus exam that I was pretty confident about. I have already spam through 100+ questions and I guess doing pretty well on past papers. Yet when I actually in the exam room, everything seems so different. I messed up on the question that I spend a hefty amount of time to practice on, just because instead of B it was 3B and I got stuck on such a silly notion that even I feel ridiculous, luckily I managed to snoop a bit on my friend’s test lol. In general I do pretty badly on test that I have already prepared. There are even some subject like macroeconomics that I can’t even apply my knowledge into practice questions and idk how much it can be..

So idk if those method doesn’t really works for me, or is it because I don’t put in as much effort as I used to. If I combined really focusing on what the teacher said in class, studying way more early, and combining all of those methods, things would eventually work out? Because I tried to find a way to study where I don’t have to sit many hours everyday, making studying the only things I do in life, scaring that if I do something else, hobby, chores then I won’t be able to study I don’t want to put in that many effort just to get another bad grade. So right now just seeing a very dense text book already drain me to the core, I can’t even breaking it into chunks. Not to mention when I finished the theory I will have to face another dense set of questions which I would properly struggle to answer too.

What should i prepare as an accounting student for better application

I’m a first year almost second year accounting student, no club, no competition, no knowledge about accounting yet. And throughout 2 semester I kinda figured out that maybe focusing on my gpa alone isn’t working out (approximately 3.0 - 3.5). And I have been contemplating on what to do next to guarantee an internship or employment in the future.

I’m currently struggle choosing between learning a language (Chinese, this one is specific encouraged by my mom, who is also an accountant), getting a certificate (ACCA or CPA), getting a double degree in law, attending business case competition or just competition relating to accounting or business. Or join a competitive academic clubs about finances, accounting and business (I figure this is my last priority, but I think it would be helpful for attending competitions but I’m not really sure)

This is really a lot for me to comprehend, I was fortunate enough to be present this many opportunities, yet I seriously don’t know what path I should take or where to start. I could feel myself draining from just thinking about the topic, that I think my brain becomes paralyzed.
