Audience responses to state violence imagery on Instagram (Instagram users, 18+)
Hello! My name is Marjan Givi, and I am a third-year student at the Faculty of Sociology and Communication conducting research for my Bachelor's thesis.
This study explores how repeated exposure to images of state violence on Instagram may influence emotional responses, desensitization, compassion fatigue, and perceptions of visual trust.
Content warning: This questionnaire contains an image and questions related to state violence, visible injuries, and human suffering that some participants may find emotionally distressing.
Participation is voluntary, all responses are anonymous, and the data will be used only for academic research purposes.
Requirements:
