Did a hysterectomy help with other random symptoms? Esp migraines and fatigue?

I'm 45 and recently saw the gynocologist because I've been having period pain when I don't have my period. It usually happens between ovulation and my period. It started a couple of years ago and has gotten worse/more frequent. I also started having occasional period-like pain (even when not on my period) with bowel movements and urination.

I had incredibly bad period pain and suspected endo when I was young, so was always on the pill or mirena.

Have also had trouble with hormonal migraines - especially in the last few years.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer just before I turned 40, so haven't had the pill or mirena since then -which is probably why everything has gotten so much worse!

My ultrasound indicated that the right ovary didn't move seperate to the bowel. Ultrasound also showed possible adenomyosis.

They gyno did a physical and said during her exam she didn't feel adhesions to the bowel, but the uterus was very tender. It REALLY hurt every time she touched the uterus.

On that basis she thinks my problems are probably more adenomyosis than endo.

Because of the breast cancer, my best options are:

  1. keep going as I am, take anti-inflammatories to manage the pain.

  2. Remove the uterus but keep the ovaries so I don't go into surgical menopause (currently in perimenopause)

The dr said that because i'd be keeping the ovaries, she couldn't promise that the surgery would help with the migraines.

My question is - if you had a hysterectomy for adeno - did your hysterectomy help with other promblems like migraine and fatigue?

I've also been having a lot of hip pain - did it help with hip pain?

Thank you!
