The eyes are throwing me off
The plumage seems like a spotted towhee. Saw it earlier in the day doing the backwards hopping on the ground to get food. I am not a bird expert at all, so was trying to look online. The bright yellow eyes are confusing me. It seems to be a spotted towhee, but they should have red eyes. Am I completely wrong on what bird this is?
